Jiulongji is situated in the western part of the Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark, 13 kilometers from Zhouning County. It is a National Scenic Area and a National AAAA-level Tourist Attraction, renowned as the “Top Waterfall in East China”.

This site exemplifies the classic “mountain, water, and waterfall” landscape combination in eastern Fujian, featuring deep ravines and nine-tier waterfalls shaped by prolonged water erosion. The nine-tier waterfalls are interlinked, forming a harmonious and staggered arrangement. The main Jiulongji Waterfall boasts a 46.7-meter drop, with waters cascading like a jade loong. The other falls vary in character - some gentle, others turbulent - each with distinctive shapes, collectively creating a rare waterfall group. Its formation is closely tied to differential crustal uplift, making it a significant site for studying neotectonic movement and water erosion landforms.

Visitors can stroll along the creek, listen to the thunderous waterfalls echoing through the valley, and marvel at the dramatic ravine scenery. Jiulongji combines natural sightseeing, geological research, and cultural experiences, offering both scenic and cultural value.
