From May 26th to 29th, 2024, the 2024 Shennongjia International Congress on Eco-Security System for All People along the Belt and Road was successfully held in Muyu Town, Shennongjia Forest Region. Ningde Global Geopark participated in this congress.

The theme of this congress is “Promoting the joint construction of the ‘Belt and Road’ Ecological Security for a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind among relevant countries and regions, as well as various professional and academic fields, and advancing ecological protection and green development in Shennongjia”. In-depth discussions were held on topics such as ecological security, species conservation, and green development.

Through this congress, Ningde UGGp has not only learned advanced concepts and technologies in ecological protection and green development from both domestic and international perspectives, but also strengthened exchanges and cooperation with other geoparks and international academic institutions. Taking this congress as a new starting point, Ningde UGGp will accelerate the deep integration of ecological protection with scientific research and education, striving to create a geological research and eco-tourism brand with international influence.

Looking ahead, Ningde UGGp will uphold the development concept of open cooperation and innovation-driven progress, strengthen exchanges and cooperation with global geoparks and scientific research institutions, jointly explore new models for the protection of geological relics and sustainable development, and contribute more “Ningde Solutions” and “Geological Wisdom” to promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.
