On June 20, 2024, the 20th Anniversary Seminar on the Development of China Global Geoparks was held ceremoniously in Beijing. Ningde UGGp actively participated in this event, jointly reviewing the glorious history of China Global Geoparks over the past 20 years and discussing future development directions.

The conference was jointly organized by entities such as the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences and the National Geopark Network Center, with the theme of “Geoparks: Conservation, Science Popularization, and Sustainable Development”. It attracted numerous representatives from geoparks, experts, scholars, and professionals from the industry.

The successful hosting of this seminar not only pointed out the direction for the future development of China Global Geoparks but also injected new impetus into the high-quality development of Ningde UGGp. Ningde Global Geopark will continue to uphold the purpose of “conserving geological heritage, popularizing geological knowledge, and promoting sustainable development”, striving to become a renowned geological tourism destination and science education base both domestically and internationally.
