The 2024 Annual Conference of China UNESCO Global Geoparks and the 20th Anniversary Symposium of the Global Geoparks was held in Xingyi from September 22nd to 25th. The representatives of Ningde UGGp participated in this conference.

This conference was hosted by units such as the Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences and the China National Geopark Network Center. With the theme of “Inheriting the Charm of Geology, Continuing the Glorious Chapter for Twenty Years”, the conference aimed to summarize the experience in the construction of China UNESCO Global Geoparks, discuss key tasks for geoparks to serve ecological civilization construction, and promote high-quality development of geoparks.

Ningde UGGp actively participated in this grand event. During the conference, representatives from Ningde UGGp conducted in-depth exchanges with representatives from other geoparks, experts, scholars, and others, sharing experiences and achievements of Ningde UGGp in geological heritage protection, science popularization education, sustainable development, and international exchange and cooperation. Through participating in this conference, Ningde UGGp not only showcased its own characteristics but also learned from the advanced experiences of other geoparks, further expanding its “circle of friends” and enhancing exchanges and cooperation with other geoparks.
