On December 5th, Han Qiyang, member of the Party leadership group and deputy director of the Leiqiong Global Geopark Administrative Committee, and his delegation visited Baiyunshan to engage in exchange and learning activities. Zhu Wenhui, secretary of the Party committee and director of the Baiyunshan Administrative Committee, and Ni Weiqi, head of the Nature Reserve Division of the Ningde Municipal Forestry Bureau, accompanied them.

Han Qiyang and his delegation visited various places including the Jiulongdong Scenic Area, the Main Museum of Ningde Global Geopark, the Fu'an Tanyang Gongou Tea Museum, and Lian Village in Xitan Town. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the construction and management of the Baiyunshan of the Ningde UGGP, the protection of geological relics, and science popularization and research. They shared their experiences and practices in the construction and management of geological parks, discussed ways to better protect precious geological relics, and how to strengthen science popularization and research to enhance public awareness and protection consciousness of geological science.

Both sides agreed that they had gained much from this exchange and expressed their willingness to continue deepening cooperation to jointly promote the development of global geoparks and make greater contributions to protecting Earth's natural heritage, promoting local economic development, and enhancing public scientific literacy.
