On the evening of August 23, the 13th Ningde Global Geopark Culture and Tourism Festival, themed "Refreshing Fujian, Mountainous and Seaside Ningde, Cloudy Zhouning", was grandly launched at the Liyuxi Scenic Area in Zhouning County.

The evening was bustling with crowds of people and tourists. The organizers carefully organized wonderful programs such as folk street parade, traditional Chinese music, Hanfu fashion show, etc. At the opening ceremony, the wooden arch bridge, bilingual promotional video of She Minority culture, and the theme song tailored for the culture and tourism festival were debut globally. The performance array composed of hundreds of drones presented patterns of Zhouningyouli (the logo of a local brand), carps, Loong, and Cloudy Zhouning (Chinese characters) in turn, stunning the night sky. There were a dazzling array of special snacks and rich and colorful singing and dancing performances, attracting tourists from all directions.

On August 24, the 5th China Volcanic Geopark Conference was held in Zhouning County. Representatives of the China Volcanic Geopark Alliance and numerous experts and scholars gathered together to discuss the alliance's development and draw a blueprint for protection. With the theme of "Volcanic Rock Landscapes and Sustainable Regional Economic Development," this conference aims to strengthen the connections and exchanges among China's volcanic geoparks, jointly tackle challenges, build a communication platform for personnel in management, construction, scientific research, and science popularization, promote the protection, management, and utilization of volcanic geoparks, establish long-term development partnerships, and achieve sustainable development. During the conference, attendees engaged in deep discussions on various topics such as the environmental and climatic impacts of volcanic magmatic activity and Earth's habitability; the origin, evolution, eruption mechanisms, and magmatic systems of magma; volcanic science tourism and regional sustainable development; the prevention and mitigation of volcanic disasters; and volcanic activity and mineralization. Experts expressed their own views and shared their latest research achievements and practical experience in related fields.
