Ningde UGGp visited Enshi Grand Canyon-Tenglong Cave UGGp to Jointly Explore New Chapters of Cooperation

From April 24th to 25th, 2024, a delegation of 6 people from Ningde UGGp visited the Enshi Grand Canyon-Tenglong Cave UGGp.

Both sides conducted in-depth and extensive exchanges on topics such as the construction and management of global geoparks, the protection and utilization of geological heritage, and the sustainable development of ecotourism. This discussion not only enhanced mutual understanding but also inspired new ideas and inspirations for cooperation in the field of geotourism between the two sides.

In order to further strengthen the cooperation between the two parties, Ningde UGGp and Enshi Grand Canyon-Tenglong Cave UGGp signed the "Sister Park Agreement" after the symposium. The signing of this agreement marks that the two geoparks will carry out closer and more in-depth cooperation in geological heritage protection, scientific research, science popularization education, ecotourism, and other aspects, jointly promoting the prosperous development of the global geopark cause.

In addition, the delegation also conducted field investigations in the two core scenic areas of Enshi Grand Canyon and Tenglong Cave. The steepness and magnificence of Enshi Grand Canyon and the mystery of Tenglong Cave left a deep impression on the members of the delegation. Through the on-site investigation, the members of the delegation not only appreciated the unique natural landscapes and rich geological heritage of Enshi Grand Canyon-Tenglong Cave UGGp, but also deeply felt the efforts and achievements made by the local area in the protection of geological heritage and the development of ecotourism.

The successful holding of this visit not only built a bridge of exchange and cooperation between Ningde UGGp and Enshi Grand Canyon-Tenglong Cave UGGp, but also injected new vitality into the development of the Global Geoparks Network. Both sides expressed that they would take this visit as an opportunity to further strengthen communication and contact, jointly explore new paths for combining geological tourism with ecological protection, and contribute more wisdom and strength to the development of the global geopark cause.
