On March 20th, the General Office of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced the list of main venues and demonstration sites for the national "Rural Evening Show in Four Seasons" in 2024, and the Baishuiyang Scenic Area in Pingnan County, Ningde City, was selected as one of the demonstration sites for the "Summer Rural Evening Show" in 2024.

The Baishuiyang Scenic Area is known as "a unique landscape in the world, a mystery of the universe," and is a globally unique "shallow water square" with a total area of 80,000 square meters. The "Rural Evening Show on Water" is a new form that combines traditional cultural programs, tourism, and sports competitions. By organizing large-scale events such as midsummer night concerts, water-based water-splashing battles involving thousands of people, and water-based music festivals, it combines traditional programs such as rural cultural characteristics, dances, and musical instrument performances with sports activities such as water tug-of-war, water dragon boat races, and water surfing and rafting. While fully showcasing the beautiful scenery of the scenic area, it better stimulates the vitality of rural culture, supports the revitalization of rural culture, and creates a win-win situation.
