Recently, the Forestry Bureau of Fujian Province issued the "Notice of the Forestry Bureau of Fujian Province on the Announcement of the List of the First Batch of Provincial Nature Education Bases", in which the Fu’an Baiyunshan National Scenic Area has been recognized as one of the first batch of provincial nature education bases.

Since receiving the document "Notice on the Implementation of the Provincial Natural Education Base Recognition Work in 2023" from the Forestry Bureau of Fujian Province, the Fu'an Baiyunshan Management Committee and the Tourism Company have attached great importance to the application for the Fujian Provincial Natural Education Base. They immediately set up a task force and visited relevant units such as the Fu'an Forestry Bureau, the Culture and Tourism Bureau, the Education Bureau, the Muyang Town, the Xiaoyang Town, and the Third Middle School of Fu'an City, focusing on collecting materials around the "six ones" approach. On December 8, a total of 56 units from the province presented their reports in rotation at the conference room of the Provincial Forestry Bureau. Among them, the report materials of the Fu'an Baiyunshan National Scenic Area were unanimously approved by the expert group.

The Fuan Baiyunshan Nature Education Base is based on the Fuan Baiyunshan Scenic Area, which officially opened in 2012. It is a World Geopark, a National Geopark, a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, and a National Key Scenic Area. The base boasts a multifunctional south and north service area covering an area of 120,000 square meters, and an ecological landscape parking area spanning 30,000 square meters. It is equipped with a 4D cinema, restaurants, a tourist service center, a geopark museum, and more. The scenic area has full network coverage and complete fire control facilities and equipment.

The base boasts rich and diverse science popularization resources, with safety officers and natural education guides on board. Meanwhile, based on the characteristics and training objectives of different educational stages, the base has carefully planned and developed high-quality courses suitable for primary and secondary school students, highlighting the professionalism, knowledge, and fun of natural education.
