The National Scenic Area of Yuanyangxi in Pingnan was Selected as the First Batch of Provincial Natural Education Bases in Fujian Province

Recently, the Yuyangxi National Scenic Area in Pingnan was officially rated as the first batch of provincial natural education bases in Fujian Province in 2023 by the Fujian Provincial Forestry Bureau.
The Scenic Area of Yuanyangxi in Pingnan is a magnificent scenic area integrating mountain and water landscapes such as streams, peaks, rocks, waterfalls, caves, and lakes. The scenic area covers an area of 78.8 square kilometers and includes five major areas: Baishuiyang, Yiyang, Taibao Tower, Liugongyan, and Yuanyang Lake. There are many wonders in the park, such as Baishuiyang Water Square, Baizhangji Waterfall Cave, Dingtan Xianyan Valley, and Rulai Guanyin driving in the fog. The Nature Reserve of Mandarin Duck and and Macaque in Yiyang is currently the only nature reserve in China. Thousands of mandarin ducks come here for winter every year. There are also more than 20 national protected animals such as macaques, leopards, serow, pythons, pangolins, and white pheasants living in the reserve.
The unique natural landscape and abundant natural resources have made the Yuanyangxi Scenic area prime destination for eco-tourism, vacation tourism, research and study tourism, health care, wellness tourism, adventure and exploration activities, and so on.
