Today, The 7^th Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark Culture & Tourism Festival &

The 10^th Taimushan Culture & Tourism Festival kicked off in Fuding! 

The main venue under the footbridge on the east bank of Tongshan Brook in Fuding was brimming with the deafening sound of gongs and drums and rather crowded. As the music rose, the excellent dragon and lion dance show marked the launch of the opening ceremony. 

The opening ceremony was presided over by Lin Yueling, Deputy Mayor of Ningde Municipal People's Government and attendees of the activity includes the following, including Liu Weize, member of ministerial meeting of Fujian Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department and commander of the Lecturers' Group, Su Qingci, deputy director of the Provincial Tourism Development and Reform Commission and Cheng Qingzhan, director of the Provincial Department of Land and Resources; Sui Jun, secretary of Ningde Committee of the Communist Party of China, Jin Min, director of Ningde NPC Standing Committee, Lan Siqi, Chairman of Ningde Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Chen Qichun, member and secretary-general of Ningde Committee of the Communist Party of China and secretary of Propaganda Department, Zeng Zhiyong, member of Ningde Committee of the Communist Party of China and Executive Deputy Mayor of Ningde, Feng Guihua, deputy director of Ningde NPC Standing Committee, deputy secretary-general of Ningde Committee of the Communist Party of China and director of Office of Ningde Committee of the Communist Party, Guo Zhuan, secretary-general of Ningde Municipal People's Government; Liu Zhenhui, secretary of Fuding Committee of the Communist Party of China, Yuan Huajun, Mayor of Ningde and main leaders from the party committee or government of each county (city and district).

Lin Yueling, Deputy Mayor of Ningde Municipal People's Government, presided over the opening ceremony.

Liu Zhenhui, secretary of Fuding Committee of the Communist Party of China, addressed a welcome speech.

Su Qingci, deputy director of Fujian Provincial Tourism Development and Reform Commission, made a speech. 

Sui Jun, secretary of Ningde Committee of the Communist Party of China, delivered a speech and announced the opening. 

Liu Zhenhui, secretary of Fuding Committee of the Communist Party of China, shifted the flag to Wu Yunming, secretary of Pingnan County Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Afterwards, the magnificent Taimu Legend artistic performance vividly presented the story and legend of Empress Taimu and the local conditions and customs in Fuding through recitation, solo, chorus, musical dance and other means. The entire Taimu Legend artistic performance falls into Prelude - Origin, Chapter I - Poverty Relief by Seocho, Chapter II - Mountain Coronation, Chapter III - Eulogy for Taimu and The End - Universal Love.

Folklore in Literature   Demeanor of pictures and real objects

In addition to the highlights on the main venue, the on-site creation of the long-scroll Poetic Tongjiang, string lion dance, barn lanterns, Guanling lion dance, shield dance, land boat, fish-lantern and various other abundant folklore performances were presented one by one, making both banks of Tongjiang in a lively atmosphere!

The large-scale graphic exhibition "Taimushan, Baishuiyang and Baiyunshan in eastern Fujian, "Fuding Cultural Literature & Books Exhibition in the New Era", Dream in Taimu -- Chinese Painting Exhibition of Ma Shuxia and Physical Exhibition of She Nationality and Local Culture would also kick off today.

At 11 a.m. this morning, Ningde Investment Promotion and Project Signing Ceremony was held at Crystal Palace on the 4^th floor of International Hotel. 80 new docking projects and 29 projects signed on the scene amounted to RMB 448.5 billion of investment. 9 docking projects of our city cover tourism, white tea eco-industry, deep-sea aquaculture, graphite electrode and many other fields. These project characterized by huge amount of investment and powerful industry driving force will inject new vitality for Ningde and our city.

As an important event of The 7^th Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark Culture & Tourism Festival & The 10^th Taimushan Culture & Tourism Festival, "Refreshing Fujian - Green Ningde" Tourism Promotion Meeting was held in Fuding Jin Jiulong Hotel this afternoon. This promotion meeting was co-organized by the Organizing Committee of the Culture & Tourism Festival and Fuding Taimushan Scenic Area Management Committee and aimed to improve the popularity and reputation of Ningde's tourism in China, speed up the development of its tourism industry, provide a platform for mutual exchanges, cooperation and mutual benefits of cities with tourist sources and attract more travel agencies to come to Ningde.
