In accordance with the notice of the first "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day" theme activity in 2017 (Fujian Construction Office Landscape [2017] No. 3), and in respond to the theme of the Earth Day, namely "saving and intensively using resources to promote green and simple life -- tell good stories about the Earth", on June 10, the Management Committee of the Pingnan Baishuiyang - Yuanyang Stream Scenic Area, the Education Bureau and the New Century Travel Service Co., Ltd. jointly organized the first theme publicity activity of "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day".

The propaganda involved volunteers entering communities, boards display, and leaflets distributing in the Baishuiyang Scenic Area of Ningde Global Geopark and the Jiexin Plaza to promote the geoscience knowledge, cultural and natural heritage in Pingnan and relevant laws and regulations. At the same time, they carried out the "Cultural and Natural Heritage" knowledge themed publicity lecture on campus, and organized and led students to conduct field study, in order to popularize geoscience knowledge and enhance students' understanding about cultural and natural heritages.

Through knowledge spreading and natural heritage promotion, students, tourists, and social workers improved their awareness of cultural and natural heritage protection, which will consequently promote the coordinated and sustainable development of resource exploitation and environmental protection.
