In order to further strengthen the cooperation relationship between Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark and Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark, extensively carry out favorable activities for promoting economic development of each region and fulfill mutual exchanges and information sharing, Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark and Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark concluded a sister park agreement in Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark Museum on December 23, 2017, symbolizing the establishment of the two parks' cooperative relationship.

Both parks will intensify cooperation and exchange in park management and protection, promotion and propaganda, universal education and popularization of scientific knowledge in an attempt to propel the scientific utilization and development of geoparks, improve public awareness and give full play to the role of parks in regional economic development.
