After successful end in Nanchang, "Refreshing Fujian - Green Ningde" Tourism Promotion Meeting kicked off in Fuzhou, Jiangxi, the hometown of Tang Xianzu on November 16. Members from tourism departments, scenic areas of Ningde, principals of enterprises and insiders from Fuzhou, totaling over 100, attended the promotion meeting and an agreement was concluded for tourism development and cooperation between Ningde and Fuzhou in the future.

According to information, both Fuzhou and Ningde are important cities of Western Taiwan Strait and thus share geographical neighborhood and people affinity. In spite of this, there are still certain differences and complementarity in tourist resources. In recent years, as the expressway and high-speed railway network is improved, both cities have fulfilled significant achievements in development and cooperation of tourism market. Li Yonggong, general manager of Jiangxi Nancheng Xinhuan International Travel Agency, said that "Ningde holds forth beautiful mountains and clear waters and abundant tourist resources. Seven or eight years ago, we have started cooperation with scenic areas in Ningde. As the expressway is put into service, we have made closer cooperation. On each summer holiday, we send two tourist groups to Ningde every week, mainly for two-day tours. Scenic areas in Ningde are suitable for both young and old and thus have a higher tourist satisfaction."

This "Refreshing Fujian - Green Ningde" Tourism Promotion Meeting marks the first session in Fuzhou and will build a formal platform for tourism exchange and development of the two cities and offer wider cooperation space. Xu Jianping, deputy director of Fuzhou Tourism Development and Reform Commission, said that "at the significant juncture of this tourism promotion meeting, we hope to follow the "mutual benefit and win-win cooperation" principle to strengthen friendly exchanges and mutual understanding, speed up cooperation and development, further propel tourism exchanges and cooperation between the two cities and promote prosperity and progress of the two cities' tourism industry by joint efforts."
