On March 21, Prof. Yves Girault of French National Museum of Natural History and his wife arrived at Fu'an Baiyunshan to conduct investigations. During this field investigation to the Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark which lasted for nearly three hours, Prof. Yves Girault put forwards detailed, professional, critical and constructive advice to the party of the geopark in terms of the construction of the museum, and related display and explanation. 

It is well-known that the French National Museum of Natural History ranks as the world's top museum, contains the richest and rarest flora, fauna, and mineral specimens and functions as a typical key museum integrating science, culture and education. Prof. Yves Girault is a doctoral supervisor at French National Museum of Natural History and also an initiator of the European Geoparks program; he is erudite in the aspects of museum management and museum scientific knowledge propagation, etc. This visit of Prof. Yves Girault to China was sponsored by related research programs of EU and specially targeted to investigate the construction of geoparks and museums in China. 

During his investigation, Prof. Yves Girault went deep into the geopark, investigated Hulu Lake, Feitian Well and other scenic spots; he also paid a visit to Nanfang Jiamu and Xita She Nationality Exhibition Hall. The characteristic spectacles the nature endows Baiyunshan and the unique folk cultures of Fu'an left great impressions on him.
