A good news comes. Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark found a sister part!

On November 16, at The 31^st Annual Meeting of Geological Society of China Tourism Earth Science & Geopark Branch & Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark Construction and Tourism Development Seminar held in Fu'an, Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark and Wang Wu Shan - Dai Mei Shan Geopark reached a sister park relationship. 

Wang Wu Shan - Dai Mei Shan Geopark, located in west Jiyuan City, Henan Province and north Xin'an County, like our Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark, is also spectacular and magnificent. 

Wang Wu Shan - Dai Mei Shan Geopark 

Covering an area of about 567km², this park includes Wang Wu Shan Park and Xiaolangdi Park and scenic areas of Tiantanshan, Xiaolangdi, Wulongkou, The Yellow River Three Gorges and Xiaogoubei. It is a comprehensive geopark mainly characterized by typical geological section and geological landscapes, supported by waterscape and geological engineering landscape, and ecology and humanity corresponding with each other. 

After establishing the sister part relationship, both parties will set up a work mechanism for rotating shifts and exchanges, send personnel mutually to study and exchange systems and make cooperation and exchange, share information and made mutual exchange of needed products centering on "strengthening orderly management and protection of global geoparks, and promoting scientific utilization and development; enhancing publicity and dissemination of global geoparks, giving full play to parks in local economic development; strengthening education and popularization of popular science knowledge among all people and raising the awareness of the public". At the same time, multi-directional information and outcome interaction and promotion activities will also be held to expand brand influence of both parties and propel the development of tourism economy of both parties.
