In order to further strengthen people's understanding about the Cultural and Natural Heritage Day, popularize the knowledge of the earth, publicize natural heritage, preserve the earth's resources, and promote the coordinated and sustainable development between resource development and environmental protection, on June 23, students in Class 5 Grade 4 of the Experimental Primary School, parent representatives, teachers and travel agency working staff formed a 70-member study team and initiated a one-day tour themed "walk into the scenic area -- explore the geoscience and the traditional building art of the wooden-arched corridor bridge". In the morning, they listened to lectures, read the tablets and built bridge models, and experienced the traditional building art of the wooden-arched corridor bridge. Afterwards, they visited the national famous scenic spot of Yuanyang Stream to observe the rocks, waterfalls, animals and plants, and to explore the formation reasons of this canyon.

After lunch, the team drove to the Baishuiyang of Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark. There they had a direct contact with the natural "museum" of geosciences and observed the terrain model of the Baishuiyang - Yuanyang Stream, the geoscience knowledge display boards and rock specimens to undestand the geological evolution history of the stream. And later they had a site inspection of the Baishuiyang Qianshui Square to verify its formation cause.

The one-day tour ended in the evening and the young explorers journeyed home with rich gains. As a saying goes, "He that travels far knows much", this activity not only promoted students to adapt to the society actively and get close to the nature, but also seeded in their minds the awareness of universal protection of the natural and cultural heritage in their hometown. It won the support and recognition of teachers and parents.
