From March 3 to March 5, 2017, 36 teachers and students majored in landscape architecture from School of Architecture, Fuzhou University carried out teaching practice activity in Baiyunshan Scenic Area.
This activity mainly aimed at study on scenic landscape planning. During the practice, headed by working staff of the scenic area's Infrastructure Department, Professor Chen Li and his students made in-depth investigation and study on major monument, museum, Youlong Cave, Waterfall Rock, Jiulong Cave, Hulu Lake, Baiyunfeng, Huanglan Canyon, Xiaoyang Town and other scenic spots in Baiyunshan Scenic Area. At the same time, commentators in the scenic area also introduced the formation, development and protection of geological relics in Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark.
On March 5, after the last lecture came to an end, Professor Chen Li expressed that such a theory and practice combined teaching mode was a good fit for students and that students learned a lot from this practice, so more such activities would be held later to improve students' specialized knowledge.
