On May 23, 2016, Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark held "Training Seminar on Geological Knowledge on Baishuiyang" and invited 52 villagers from surrounding villages and park staff to popularize geological knowledge on the park. The seminal also stressed the concept of "development in protection and protection in development". The park and villagers reached a consensus to build the park by joint efforts and make rational utilization of park resources.
