Cross-strait Creative Tourist Commodities Made Their Second Presence at the Tourism Exhibition, Including 10 Categories of Products in Total.

As an important event of The 12th Strait Travel Fair, Cross-strait Tourism and Creative Commodities Competition Appraisal Fair would kick off at Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center May 6.

This cross-strait cultural and creative tourism product design competition involves over 10 categories of goods including tourism crafts, special tourist food, tourism drinks, tourism silk fabrics, electronic tourist products, tourist ceramics, tourist bamboo and wood products, personal tourist goods, tourist souvenirs and creative tourist design, etc.

Cultural and creative tourism products to attend the competition are required to have cultural connotation and regional characteristics. In addition to local prize-winning tourist commodities, a large batch of time-honored tourist commodities containing traditional culture, some new-form outdoor tourist equipment and cultural and creative products would also be involved in the competition.

In addition to the Appraisal Fair, a 360m2 cultural and creative product display area and a 180m2 "Refreshing" Fujian Tourist Commodities Display Area were built for product display and on-site sales.

So far, the Taiwan side has made it clear that Taiwan Gift & Housewear Exporters Association, Yingge Farmers Association Taiwan Ceramic Art Museum, Taiwan Nantou County Farmers Association and Zhanghua County Farmers Association would attend the Fair. Provinces and cities in the mainland also took the initiative to encourage and organize tourist commodities with local characteristics to attend the Fair.

"The Fair aims to promote the industry development of tourist commodities across the strait, improve the overall development level and market competitiveness of tourist commodities and foster tourist commodities to be new growth points of tourism," said a director from Fujian Provincial Tourism Administration.
