On a recent occasion, the “2025 Fujian · Fu’an Baiyunshan Cycling Climbing Challenge” was held at the Xianfu Service Area of Baiyunshan. Organized jointly by Baiyunshan, the Fu’an Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau, and the Fu’an Sports General Association, and guided by the Ningde Municipal Bureau of Sports, the event was co-organized by Fu’an Baiyunshan Tourism Development Co., Ltd. and the Fu’an Cycling Association. Over 300 cycling enthusiasts from 46 teams across Zhejiang (Shaoxing, Pingyang, Longgang), Sichuan, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Putian, Ningde, Fuding, Zhouning, and Fuan participated.

The competition featured two main segments: Cycling Tourism Experience and Climbing Competition. The climbing segment included four categories: Open Road Race, Men’s Mountain Bike Youth Group, Men’s Mountain Bike Master Group, and Women’s Open Group. The climbing course spanned 5 kilometers, ascending from approximately 130 meters to 555 meters in elevation, with a total elevation gain of 425 meters and an average gradient of 6.8%. After nearly 50 minutes of intense competition, top finishers in each category were determined. Shi Wentong and Hu Tiantian from the Power Box SEKA Team won the Open Road Race and Men’s Youth Mountain Bike categories, respectively. Zhang Tingting of the Brgrock Dashi Meiqi Factory Team claimed the Women’s Open Group title. Feng Jianjun, a local Fuan rider from the LC Light Carbon Team, secured victory in the Men’s Master Group. Awards were presented on-site by leaders and distinguished guests from relevant organizations.

The event promoted the principles of low-carbon living and green transportation, while showcasing Baiyunshan’s identity as an ecological tourism destination that harmonizes nature and culture, integrating sports into leisure.
