On a recent occasion, the 2025 Fujian Province Forestry Science Communication Competition, hosted by the Fujian Provincial Forestry Bureau and the Fujian Forestry Society, was successfully held in Fuzhou. In active response, Baiyunshan dispatched a representative to compete on behalf of the Ningde Municipal Forestry Bureau, joining 21 contestants from 18 teams representing nine prefecture-level cities, eight direct-affiliated units, and the Fujian Administration of Wuyishan National Park. After a rigorous and impressive competition, the Baiyunshan team was awarded third prize.

At the event, the representative from the Baiyunshan delivered a compelling presentation titled “Baiyunshan of Fu’an: A Billion-Year Geological Transformation Nurturing the Four Forest Reservoirs,” supported by an engaging video. The talk vividly introduced Baiyunshan, a core part of UNESCO Global Geopark, to judges and audiences by elucidating its geological wonders, the concept of the “Four Forest Reservoirs” — water, timber, carbon, and biodiversity — and its rich ecological culture. This presentation effectively unlocked the dual keys to understanding forest ecology and cultural heritage, significantly advancing public comprehension of geology and forestry while promoting synergistic development between Baiyunshan’s brand building and ecological civilization initiatives.
