On July 12, the Fujian Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, accompanied by international planning experts from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Peter Semone and Stuart Gilchriest, visited the Baishuiyang-Yuanyangxi Scenic Area in Pingnan to accelerate the development of a world-renowned tourism destination.

After inspecting Baishuiyang, the provincial research team and UNWTO experts engaged in in-depth discussions with accompanying officials on tourism resource development in Pingnan County, the internationalization of Baishuiyang, leveraging the advantages of the overseas Chinese hometown, and the revival of sports tourism, injecting new momentum into the creation of a world-class tourism destination.

Baishuiyang-yuanyangxi has long been committed to leading the development of international tourism destinations. This research has outlined a clear path for the internationalization of Pingnan tourism, with a focus on "the warmth of the overseas Chinese hometown, the passion of sports, and the empowerment of digital technology," providing strong momentum for Baishuiyang-yuanyangxi to shine on the global stage.
