From December 23 to 24, 2017, the delegation of four headed by Bai Rongmin, deputy director of Fujian Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark, paid an investigation and exchange visit to Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark. Cheng Shengli and Liu Yuewei, deputy director general of Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark and section chief Jing Zhengjun accompanied the delegation in the whole tour.

At the exchange meeting held on the morning of 23, both parties introduced their respective geological value, infrastructure construction, popular science tourism and management mechanism and geopark reassessment, discussed the relevant issues concerning establishing the friend sister park relationships and entered into a sister park agreement. According to the agreement, both parties would establish a job rotation and mutual exchange work mechanism, share information, deepen exchange and cooperation and propel rapid park development in terms of scenic area management, propaganda and popularization, and popularization of sciences.

Then, the delegation of headed by deputy director Bai Rongmin paid a tour to Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark Museum, Zhongyue Temple, Songyang Academy, Shaolin Temple and other scenic areas and also made a field investigation to the science popularization routes of Sanhuangzhai and Luya Waterfall. After the tour, deputy director Bai Rongmin expressed that Songshan UNESCO Global Geopark holds unique geological relics and profound cultural heritage and represents a treasure among global geoparks and also hoped that both parties deepen exchange and cooperation and achieve mutual development.
