From August 24 to 28, 2015, 2015 China UNESCO Volcanic Geopark Forum was held in Yandangshan UNESCO Global Geopark. This forum was initiated by Yandangshan UNESCO Global Geopark together with Wudalianchi, Ningde, Leiqiong and Jingpohu and themed at "cooperation, exchange and sustainable development". During the forum, Yandangshan, Ningde, Leiqiong and Jingpohu UNESCO Global Geoparks held the signing ceremony to enter into a sister park agreement with Ngorongoro Natural Reserve of Tanzania. In the future, these parks will enhance exchanges and cooperation in preservation and management of relic resources, science popularization education, management staff, tourism promotion and sustainable development in a bid to achieve joint development, progress and improvement.
