Yiyang Village is nestled in the northeast of Shuangxi Town, Pingnan County and 30km away from the county area. Residing on the border of Pingnan, Zhouning and Zhenghe Counties, it is China's sole mandarin duck and macaque natural reserve, 5A scenic spot, national key tourist attraction and also the seat of UNESCO Global Geopark Yuanyang Stream. The village holds continuous ridges and peaks, beautiful scenery, various rare animals and plants such as mandarin duck and macaque and sound ecological landscape and thus is of tremendous scientific research value and tourism development value. The village has 655 residents of 178 households and covers an area of 16,983mu, 1,275mu of which is arable land. The development of Yuanyang Stream Scenic Area has promoted the continuous development of lodging industry, catering industry and small shops in the village and also contributed to the production development and increasingly improved living standard of villagers. Under the vigorous support of the relevant superior departments, Yiyang Village has finished façade renovation of main building, improved greenery landscape on both sides of roads and constructed a centralized garbage collection station. As a result, the village's appearance is further improved and made clean, tidy and also holds forth primitive simplicity.
