Residing along Baiyunshan Tourist Avenue on the bank of Xiuxi Broom in the east of Muyun She Nationality Town, Hutou Village is adjacent to the beautiful Ningde UNESCO Global Geopark Baiyunshan and an administrative village completely composed of She people. The village is a demonstration village of China's rural tourism, China's characteristic minority village, demonstration village of beautiful villages of Fujian Province and also a demonstration village of pilot construction of new socialist countryside of Fu'an. With a population of 825 in 217 households, the village administrates natural villages of Hutou, Yangzhongting, Jiatou, Hepingyang and Wugongcha. Most villagers fall into the clan of Wu and She nationality. Hutou Village is one of the major producing areas of Muyang juicy peach famous as "peach of immortality" and "precious fruit of eastern Fujian". The sweet and refreshing taste and bright color of peaches produced there have made the village gain the title of "Agro-product Geological Indications" from the Ministry of Agriculture of P.R.C. With a planting area of over 1,600 mu, the village has an annual yield of nearly 1,200 t with an output value approaching to RMB 20 million, accounting for 1/5 of the total output value of the whole town. While acting as a pillar industry for villagers to get wealthy, juicy peach has also evolved into sightseeing agriculture. In September 2015, the village built Muyun She Ethnic Township Ecotourism Scenic Area by joint efforts with Grape Valley in Xita, which has been appraised as a national AAA scenic area.
