花岗岩

Granite

花岗岩由长石、石英、云母等矿物组成，按颗粒直径可分为细粒（＜2mm）、中粒（2–5mm）、粗粒（＞5mm）花岗岩三类。太姥山主体为中粗粒碱长花岗岩，矿物颗粒多在2至5毫米，是岩浆在地壳深处缓慢冷却形成。岩石断面可见肉红色长石、烟灰色石英与黑色云母，矿物粒粒分明，留存着亿万年前岩浆活动的印记。

Granite is composed of minerals such as feldspar, quartz and mica. Based on grain diameter, it can be divided into three types: fine-grained (<2 mm), medium-grained (2-5 mm) and coarse-grained (>5 mm). The main rock type of Taimushan is medium-to-coarse-grained alkali feldspar granite, with mineral grains mostly ranging from 2 to 5 mm, which formed as magma cooled slowly deep within the Earth’s crust. On fractured surfaces of the rock, one can see flesh-red feldspar, smoky-grey quartz and black mica. The mineral grains are distinctly visible, preserving the traces of magmatic activity from hundreds of millions of years ago.
